Information on how to enter this Competition forms part of these Terms and Conditions. By entering, entrants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and entries must comply with these Terms and Conditions to be valid.

This Competition is governed by the laws in force in the State of Victoria.

The Competition

• This Competition is free to enter and is open to Deakin alumni who email the Deakin Alumni Office deakinalumni@deakin.edu.au from their preferred email address stating the words ‘Join In to Win’ and list their names and date of birth in the email. These contact details will be checked against their alumni record in the Alumni Community Portal and will be updated as needed.  To be eligible to enter the Competition, the Deakin graduate must not have requested no further contact or no further email contact from Deakin.
• Entrants may only register for this Competition once.
• Employees of Deakin Advancement portfolio and their immediate family members are not eligible to enter this Competition.

Competition Period

• This Competition commences at 9.00 am AEST on 18/04/2018 and closes at 11.59 pm AEST on 28/05/2018.

• If winner resides close to an Australian capital city, they will receive an in-home chef experience for eight people, valued at AU$1,500. If the competition winner resides outside of Australia or lives regionally, they will either receive (1) a restaurant voucher valued at AU$1500 or (2) a restaurant voucher valued at $1000 plus a supermarket grocery voucher valued at $500 instead.
• The restaurant and supermarket grocery voucher, or in-home chef will be selected by the Deakin Alumni Office in consultation with the winner. The prize must be taken by 1 November 2018.
• There is one prize only. The total prize pool is valued at AU$1,500.
• One winner will be drawn randomly from those who are eligible.

• This Competition is free to enter and is open to Deakin alumni who email the Deakin Alumni Office deakinalumni@deakin.edu.au from their preferred email address stating the words ‘Join In to Win’ and list their names and date of birth in the email. These contact details will be checked against their alumni record in the Alumni Community Portal and will be updated as needed.  To be eligible to enter the Competition, the Deakin graduate must not have requested no further contact or no further email contact from Deakin.
• Entrants who send an email including the required information will automatically receive one entry into this Competition.

• The prize draw will be conducted on 30/05/2018 at 10.00 am AEST at Deakin University, Waurn Ponds Campus, 75 Pigdons Rd, Waurn Ponds, VIC 3216.
• The winners will be notified by email or phone. The names of the winners will also be published online at www.deakin.edu.au within 14 days of the date of the draw. Winners will be notified and contacted to arrange a date to use this prize before 1 November 2018.
• If the winner of a prize does not claim the prize within 21 days of the date of the draw, a re-draw will be conducted within 28 days of the original draw date.
• Prizes are not transferrable and are not redeemable for cash. Deakin’s decision is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into. Deakin accepts no responsibility for late, lost or misdirected entries or other communications. Entries will be deemed void if forged, manipulated or tampered with in any way.

• Entrants consent to Deakin using their name, image or voice for promotional purposes. Entrants agree to make themselves available for photograph and interview in the event theirs is the winning entry and if requested by Deakin.
