The professional stream is for those with foundational IT knowledge, featuring advanced coursework, industry placements and research projects. Professional stream degrees
The professional stream is ideal for those with a bachelor degree (or higher) in a related discipline, or a bachelor degree (or higher) in any discipline and at least two years’ relevant work experience. These degrees are two years in duration, and will take your foundational knowledge deeper with your choice of:
- advanced coursework
- an industry placement
- or a research project.
Master of Cyber Security (Professional)

Standard stream degrees
The standard stream provides a solid introduction for those new to the field. If you have a bachelor degree (or higher) in an unrelated discipline, this stream will equip you with the foundational knowledge to enter the profession.
They can be anywhere between one to two years in duration. Depending on your professional experience and previous qualifications, you may be eligible for credit which could reduce your course duration.
