Overview

This minor provides students with a deeper understanding of Indigenous history, culture and diverse perspectives, with a specific focus on the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. Students will gain knowledge and skills in cultural competency, preparing them to engage respectfully with Indigenous communities, contribute to culturally safe workplaces and policies and support Indigenous initiatives in their professional practice. Students can tailor their learning by choosing between Caring for Country and Global Indigenous Knowledges and Philosophies to align to personal interests, chosen majors and career goals.
