In celebration of the establishment of the Sue Nattrass Arts Management Fund at Deakin University, scholarship recipients, donors and special guests were invited to an exclusive preview of John Olsen: You Beaut Exhibition and a Cocktail Party. Guests were also delighted with an interview by ABC Radio National host Phillip Adams for the Late Night Live program with the artist on the exhibition.

This event brought together those with a passion for arts and culture in Melbourne, and linked philanthropy directly to the students supported by these donations, demonstrating Deakin’s role in supporting student learning and community engagement.

Sue Nattrass AO was also recognised at the event, for her long and distinguished contribution to the Australian entertainment industry, with a career in the arts spanning over 40 years. Sue is considered the exemplar of experience and leadership in Australia's arts community and one of the most experienced and high profile arts managers. The establishment of the Scholarship Fund will enable Sue's legacy to live on at Deakin University for many years to come.

We are delighted to congratulate the inaugural scholarship recipients: Lilian Yong, Clara Edwards, and Nicole Smede.

Applications for The Sue Natrass Scholarships are currently open. For more information on eligibility or to apply, please visit our scholarships page.

You can also listen to Phillip Adam’s interview with John Olsen on the ABC website.
