This unit is the third unit of the honours research project and enrolment in it cannot take place until a student has completed ACO412 Advanced Communication Research A and ACO413 Advanced Communication Research B unless all four research units are undertaken concurrently then a waiver may be sought.

Study commitment

Students will on average spend 150-hours over the teaching period undertaking the teaching, learning and assessment activities for this unit.

This will include educator guided online learning activities within the unit site.

Content

Students enrolled in this unit continue their independent research project begun with ACO412 Advanced Communication Research A and ACO413 Advanced Communication Research B.

In this unit, students will collect their research data and undertake data analysis in accordance with approved processes and subject to any ethics approval. Students will apply data analysis techniques learned in ACO410 Communication Research Methods. The unit chair and allocated supervisor will advise the student in this respect as necessary.

This unit will complete the third part of the honours research project with a draft document of up to 4000 words comprising the data analysis, findings and discussion sections and will be submitted to the allocated supervisor for review.
