Content
This unit is the middle phase through which Master of Communication students develop a major academic research project as a capstone to their course. The academic research project units (ACX704, ACX705, ACX706) are a combined, 3-unit learning experience which full-time students will normally undertake in a single trimester. Students will work on a research project whose topic is relevant to their course specialisation, and will regularly consult with their supervisor to present and receive feedback on their project drafts. Preliminary work and design of the academic research project will be undertaken in ACX703 Developing a Communication Research Project. Students must prepare a satisfactory research proposal and project plan in ACX703 to be considered for approval to enrol in the academic research project units.
A formal result is not recorded against ACX704/705/706 until the student has completed and submitted the academic research project and its examination is complete.
