Motion Graphics for Film and Advertising focuses on developing student's creative and technical skills for creating 3D motion graphics. Motion Graphics are short animations used throughout the visual medias, in films, advertising, community campaigns, music videos, and shows. They can be informative, abstract, visually arresting, satisfying to make, and entertaining to experience. Students will gain an understanding of what makes for great motion graphics through selected case studies. They will be given the building blocks for developing their own graphics, looking at both 3D and compositing techniques. They will get to design and build their own folio worthy motion graphics.
