Content
This unit examines current research, frameworks and resources informing leadership and management in current educational contexts of uncertainty. It explores the different elements, foci and levels of leadership and management knowledge, skills and practices, including aspects of vision and values, operational, relational, strategic and systemic foci, and personal qualities and interpersonal skills. The unit also examines theories of practice and explores enablers and constraints impacting educational change and innovation, and how these theories have informed approaches to leadership and management. Students apply knowledge and skills learned in the unit to conduct a 360-degree self review of personal leadership and management strengths, and prepare a detailed leadership and management plan that will support a local innovation or change.
