Content

In this unit students will investigate major policy drivers in Adult, Vocational Education and Training and how these translate into their own teaching practice. Students will be introduced to current research on the vocational education and training system including publicly funded TAFE in Australia, and develop knowledge about the various sites of learning where vocational education and training occurs. Students will develop advanced knowledge and skills of key learning theories, including formal, informal and work based approaches, contemporary practices in teaching pedagogy and digital learning through online resources and case studies. They will critically apply this knowledge to reflect on their own teaching, future professional development and lifelong learning.
