Content

This unit focuses on engagement in effective, evidence-informed evaluation of professional practice through critical reflection on individual pedagogic choices and practices in higher education programs that respond to the many contemporary challenges impacting providers in Australia and internationally. It utilises a practice-oriented approach to explore the core knowledge and professional values that inform professional learning and scholarship to support the development of effective teaching and assessment practice in higher education. The unit applies theories of professional practice, curriculum design and higher education pedagogy to develop a deeper understanding and application of teaching and learning practice in higher education, with a particular focus on the design of inclusive learning programs, teaching for active learning, the effective use of digital tools to support learning, and the development of an evidence-informed reflective approach to improving practice and ongoing professional learning.
