Content

This interdisciplinary unit examines the complex range of interactions that influence the health of individuals and populations through a determinants approach to health and wellbeing, highlighting Indigenous perspectives and other priority populations. This includes a range of determinants of health related to selected health issues in urban and rural Australia, as well as in global contexts.

Topics include: determinants of health including social, cultural, environmental, and biological risk and protective factors; approaches to health including inclusive practice, health promotion and settings for health promotion; and local and global health care systems and policy frameworks.
