Study commitment | Students will spend on average 150 hours over the trimester undertaking synchronous and asynchronous teaching and learning activities for this unit. This will include 27 hours synchronous learning activities and 18 hours of guided asynchronous learning activities. |

Content
This unit forms part of the Critical Understandings Cluster. Health assessment is an essential skill for nurses in all contexts of care. Appropriate use of assessment data will assist students to further develop clinical decision-making skills essential for the provision of quality and safe patient care.
In this unit students will have the opportunity to develop the mindset, knowledge and skills required to undertake comprehensive and focused health assessment of individuals across the lifespan.
