Students will on average spend 150 hours over the teaching period undertaking the teaching, learning and assessment activities for this unit.

1 x 3 hour class and 1 x 3 hour seminar per fortnight

Content

This unit examines work-related variables, such as stress and burnout, that contribute to occupational health, safety and wellbeing. A focus of the unit is creating mentally healthy workplaces and unit topics include: models, theories, frameworks for primary wellbeing interventions; workplace incivility and workplace psycho-social safety. Students will also undertake the accredited Mental Health First Aid training as part of this unit.
