Content

The University recognises the importance of students gaining professional identity skills to enable them to apply for employment, plan their careers and participate effectively in the business environment. The unit aims to broaden students’ self-awareness and understanding of their career preparation, and support the development of tools and actions plans, and a range of communication capabilities necessary to be successful in both their business and personal lives.

The Professional Insight unit has been designed as a compulsory first year unit in Deakin’s undergraduate commerce programs. However, it may also be studied as an elective unit by students enrolled in other Deakin University courses where course rules allow. Please note: RPL for this unit may only be considered for students where MWL101 is a compulsory (core) unit of their course. RPL is not available for MWL101 as an elective unit.
