This unit allows you to explore architectural design thinking through the principles of advanced digital design communication processes and media. In this unit you will explore design visualisation skills and techniques that include the use of digital media, architectural visualisation, parametric modelling, visual scripting and digital fabrication. You will undertake three major interconnect project-based assignments that eventually produce a full-scale model to demonstrate the potential iterative digital design media and prototype in Architecture. In the completion of this unit, students will gain the advance knowledge to implement the parametric software and digital media with the design methodology to exploit the cutting edge analogue and digital tools needed to achieve and represent the avant-garde contemporary architectural design.
