Content

This unit introduces you to advanced design studio practices through responding to contemporary design theory and global issues. The design project will address regenerative approaches to architecture through an intervention in an urban context with programmatic complexity focusing on social and residential challenges.

The studio will explore site reading and analysis, design iterations, and design translation and resolution as key methods of the design process. You will examine the application of design theories and processes of contemporary architecture and apply them to your project. The unit incorporates and reinforces analytical and communication skills that will be explored and tested in the studio, documenting the process through drawing and modelling.
