What does DUSA do?
DUSA ensures Deakin students are provided with a range of opportunities, activities and services to help you achieve your personal and academic goals.
By being a part of DUSA, it means you will the have the security of knowing there is someone looking out for you and putting your interests first. Free advocacy service, welfare – survival centre, scholarships, transport assistance programs and links to a legal service are some of the many ways DUSA looks out for Deakin students.
DUSA also encourages Deakin students to apply for positions on the student council and strives to empower students to create social and environmental change within their campus.
DUSA wants you to get involved and will support you throughout your time at Deakin. Sign up for a yearly membership and let your student association help you make your uni experience one memorable!
Joining DUSA will provide you with access to services, membership package, discounts, short courses, sporting teams, trips and tours and a range of clubs and societies. You'll be helping the association continue to do what it does best: providing support for you and your fellow students while you study.

Located on campus and online in Burwood, Geelong and Warrnambool, the DUSA bookshops are your one-stop-shop for affordable textbooks and general items. You can purchase stationery, course equipment like lab coats or nursing packs. Or top up your Myki, buy general books, travel books, confectionery, gifts and more. Did you know? Women’s rooms exist across all campuses and are a place for female-identifying and gender non-conforming students to relax, socialise and study in a welcoming and supportive environment. Queer rooms in Burwood and Waurn Ponds are designed to foster a sense of community for queer-identifying students.
