Indigenous Tutorial Network

The Indigenous Tutorial Network (ITN) plays an essential role in the delivery of the institute's programs. It's set up to be responsive and relevant to your individual needs. The ITN provides tutors in your community to support our Community-Based Delivery approach. From day one, ITN staff will assist you in getting a tutor in your community. A tutor can help clarify what you're learning and will assist you with the academic study skills needed to be successful in your course of study.

Assistance available

Whether you're a first-year student needing extensive assistance with an academic study framework or a more experienced learner looking for a few pointers, ITN tutors can support good study practices to enable you to strengthen your relationship between university and home. They encourage you to express your own perspective or understanding of your studies and connect relevance of your own culturally lived experiences.

Assistance available includes:

  • assignment writing
  • referencing
  • oral presentation
  • time management
  • exam preparations.

The ITN is a vital service that not only assists you academically but actively promotes strengthening your cultural identity.
