Welcoming international students to Australia
The Australian border is open. We look forward to welcoming student visa holders to our Australian campuses this year. We recommend you apply for your visa as soon as you accept your Deakin offer and we issue your confirmation of enrolment.
Undergraduate (your first degree)
An undergraduate degree is generally completed between two to four years, depending on the pattern of study and any recognition of prior learning you may have. Associate degrees, bachelor and bachelor with honours are all undergraduate degrees.
Postgraduate (further study)
A postgraduate qualification can be undertaken by students who have already completed an undergraduate degree or possess significant, demonstrable work experience. Postgraduate courses include graduate certificates, graduate diplomas, masters and PhDs, as well as specialist programs for industry professionals.
Experience state-of-the-art facilities
Our inspiring learning space has won three prestigious Australian Institute of Architects awards for design excellence. The a+b studio and workshop provides a place to collaborate, design and build models, and experiment with technology, materials and processes. The workshop is fully equipped with 3D printers, laser cutters, CNC routers and traditional tools and machinery.
The concept of students helping students is something which I came across at Deakin. It's a really good thing as the students only understand the problems of the students as they go through similar obstacles in one way or the other.
Master of Construction Management (Professional)
Benefit from multidisciplinary learning
As a construction management student at Deakin, you will work together with architecture students. This unique multidisciplinary approach gives you an industry advantage – experience working with allied professions, just like you will in the real world.
You will explore architectural ideas and design approaches while learning to manage construction projects, no matter their scale or scope.
Gain industry accreditation
Deakin's Bachelor and Master level construction management degrees are professionally accredited by the Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (AIQS), the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and the Australian Institute of Building (AIB).
Our undergraduate degrees are also professionally accredited by the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB), so you can graduate with confidence knowing that your qualifications will be recognised for practice in over 50 countries.
