Online to on-campus pathway

Please note: students are not currently able to travel to Australia to study on campus. We encourage you to accept your offer now to start studying online, and when Australia's borders re-open, you will be able to travel to Australia to commence on-campus study. We recommend you apply for your visa as soon as we issue your confirmation of enrolment. While you hold a valid student visa, the Australian government will recognise any study undertaken online towards eligibility for post study work rights.

Get hands-on experience with industry equipment

Borrow professional equipment from our comprehensive Media Resource Centre, including lighting and professional audio gear, digital video cameras and SLR cameras for projects and practice. We have a team of technicians on staff to provide support and expertise. Deakin is also one of the first universities in the world to offer RED EPIC cameras – the digital camera of choice for the world’s best filmmakers and photographers.

I really love Deakin for the extra opportunities. I got the opportunity to intern, have professional networks, enjoy the writing club and become a publisher and attend more network events.
