Faculty of Health research

Australia’s leading multidisciplinary health faculty

Our research is guided by a desire and commitment to improve health and social outcomes, particularly for disadvantaged groups in society. Together with our partners and communities, we create evidence-based solutions that have an impact locally and globally.

Research with impact

We conduct a broad range of multidisciplinary and translational research studies that address important individual and population health problems. One of our key priorities is to deliver reductions in health care burden and community costs across the western region of Victoria.

Our research programs are supported by three institutes, a strategic research centre and groups within our five schools. Together, we tackle some of the most urgent and important clinical and public health problems of our time.

Research to enhance performance

The School of Exercise and Nutrition Sciences has world-class, multidisciplinary researchers. We focus on the role of exercise and nutrition in preventing and managing disease, and enhancing human performance through scientific breakthroughs.

Research for good health

The School of Health and Social Development research focuses on the importance of engagement with our communities and families, and the promotion and return to good health that's essential for this engagement.
