• Information on how to enter forms part of these Terms and Conditions. By entering, entrants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and entries must comply with these Terms and Conditions to be valid.
• This competition is governed by the laws in force in the State of Victoria.

The Competition

• The competition is free to enter and is open to all Deakin University alumni who submit a written entry of 300 words or less explaining how their Deakin experience has changed their life. To be eligible, entrants must have a valid and contactable email address in the Alumni Community Portal database (https://engage.deakin.edu.au) and must have not selected ‘no further email contact’ or ‘no further contact’ from Deakin University.
• Staff employed by Deakin University Advancement portfolio are not eligible to enter the competition.

Competition Period

• The competition commences at 9am AEST on 31 March 2018 and closes at 9am AEST on 27 April 2018.

The Prize

• Four alumni winners will receive a $500AUD Adrenaline gift voucher each.
• If a winner of a voucher is outside of Australia, Deakin may, if requested by the winner, purchase an equivalent experience voucher in the alumni members’ country of residence to the value of $500.00AUD – the voucher retailer will be selected by the Deakin University Alumni Office.
• The total prize pool is valued up to $2000.00 AUD.
• Four winners will be chosen by the Alumni Relations Office team based on what they determine as the best responses.

How to Enter

• Entrants must email their explanation as to how Deakin has changed their life via a written response in 300 words or less. This response must be emailed to deakinalumni@deakin.edu.au during the competition period to be eligible.
• The winners will be chosen on 2 May 2018 at the Deakin University Alumni Waurn Ponds Office, 75 Pigdons Road Waurn Ponds 3216.
• The winners will be notified by one or more of email, SMS and in writing. The names of the winners will be published online at http://www.deakin.edu.au/alumni within 15 days of them being chosen. Winners will be sent or emailed the prize.
• If the winner does not respond to claim the prize within 14 days of being chosen, other entries will be selected within 21 days of the competition end date and the substituted winner will be notified as set out in paragraph 12.
• Prizes are not transferable. Deakin University’s decision is final and binding - no correspondence will be entered into. Deakin accepts no responsibility for late, lost or misdirected entries or other communications. Entries will be deemed void if forged, manipulated or tampered with in any way.

Consent to Promotion

• Entrants consent to Deakin using their name, image or voice for promotional purposes. Entrants agree to make themselves available for a photograph and interview in the event theirs is the winning entry and if requested by Deakin.
