Biography
Dr Achinto Roy is a Lecturer in the Department of Management at Deakin Business School. He holds a PhD in Management from University of Canterbury (NZ) and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Australia and New Zealand. His publications include articles in highly ranked journals such as Business Ethics Quarterly, Business History and Studies in Higher Education. His research interests are in the areas of corruption in international business using lenses of ethics and strategy, and International mobility studies of students, academics and institutions. Achinto has a track record of achieving excellent student ratings in all modes of teaching including MBA residential programs and executive education and is highly focused on student engagement. He has organised a number of student global mobility and exchange programs with institutions in France, Hungary, Indonesia, Japan, Sweden and Vietnam. He is the current Director International for Department of Management. He has held a number of service roles at Deakin such as Dean's Envoy for Internationalisation, Chair of the Faculty Human Ethics Group, Member of University Ethics Committee and Member of Faculty Academic Board.
Achinto possesses over 30 years of business, professional consulting and investment experience as a Chartered Accountant spanning different countries.He has held board memberships of closely held companies, trusts and education institutions in India, NZ, Middle East and Australia.
