Biography
Dr Anne Turner is a member of the Institute for Physical Activity and Nutrition (IPAN) and the School of Exercise and Nutrition Sciences. She teaches undergraduate students and also supervises higher degree by research students. Her research expertise is in the physiology and endocrinology of stress and the impact of stress on human health. In particular, she is interested in factors that influence hypothalamo-pituitary adrenal axis and sympatho-adrenal medullary system responses to stress. Her research aim is to develop strategies to reduce responsiveness to stress and, as a consequence, to reduce progression to chronic disease.
