Biography
Jingliang Li got his PhD in Chemical Engineering followed by postdoctoral research in supramolecular materials, microfluidics, functional nanoparticles for cancer cell imaging and therapy and functional materials from natural fibres/proteins.
Jingliang Li has published more than 70 articles with a majority in key journals of materials science and physical chemistry. He is also editor of a book titled "Soft Fibrillar Materials: fabrication and applications" (published by Wiley-VCH, the book is available in Deakin Library)

Various research in soft matter systems such as multi-responsive supramolecular assembly for light harvesting, tissue engineering, disease diagnostics and treatment
Knowledge areas
My key expertise is in the area of soft matter. My current research focuses on supramolecular assembly (small molecule gelators, surfactants and macromolecules like proteins), which includes both fundamental understanding and development of novel functional materials that mimics the natural systems and materials. The potential applications of these materials include solar light harvesting, functional foods and tissue engineering.
