Biography
Dr Penny Gleeson is a Lecturer at Deakin Law School. Penny's expertise is in public health law, regulation, public law, new health technologies and ethics. She was a senior executive in the Victorian public service and continues to contribute to policy and legislative reform. Penny holds a PhD from the University of Melbourne and an LLM from the University of Cambridge.

Dr Penny Gleeson has published on the regulation of drugs and new medical technologies. Her PhD thesis examined the political legitimacy of the regulation of therapeutic goods, with a particular focus on medicinal cannabis, medical abortion and mesh devices. Penny has spoken on these topics at domestic and international conferences.
Penny teaches in the JD and LLB programs at Deakin Law School in the areas of tort law and misleading conduct. She regularly contributes to postgraduate teaching programs in health and law.
