Research interests
Sherryn researches in the area of interprofessional education (IPE), and more specifically the online delivery of IPE. She has focused on the effects of online IPE on students’ attitudes and skills associated with learning and working collaboratively, the student and facilitator experience of online IPE, and the styles of facilitator interaction in online IPE. She has previously researched in the areas of dietetic clinical education models and the physical health of people with a mental illness.
Teaching interests
Sherryn coordinates the Faculty of Health's Interprofessional Education (IPE) curriculum. She is interested in innovative and relevant teaching and learning methods to enable healthcare students to learn with, from and about each other to ultimately improve the quality of healthcare. Sherryn has led the development and implementation of a globally unique cloud based IPE unit using synchronous and asynchronous communication methods for students studying medicine, nursing, occupational therapy, dietetics, social work, psychology and clinical exercise physiology in the Faculty of Health.
