Biography

Tori's doctoral research examined the stories of unaccompanied children who sought asylum in Australia before and during the government's No Advantage policy. Tori's research identified themes of resilience and agency amid severe immigration regimes, examining the settlement experience as a site of both agency and oppression. Tori considers herself a researcher and youth work practitioner, working at the Centre for Multicultural Youth for many years in various roles spanning program development and policy advocacy.
