Recognition of prior learning

You can reduce your overall study time and tuition cost by getting your work and previous study experience recognised as recognition of prior learning.

How does it work?

If you have prior learning or experience in your area of study, you may be able to reduce the amount of units you need to complete your course through RPL (formerly known as credit for prior learning (CPL)). This can include formal learning (accredited qualifications) and non-formal and informal learning (non-accredited learning or work experience).

We consider all university, TAFE and private tertiary education provider qualifications from Australia and around the world for RPL. We also consider any other previous study, work experience and relevant life experience.

How much can I save?

As tuition fees are calculated per credit point, a reduction in the amount of units needed to complete your course can save you money and time on your way to earning your degree.

Our RPL tool can help you calculate your credit and determine your savings.
