The CEI process

The Circular Economy Initiative will focus on working with manufacturing supply chains across five material streams including fibre and textiles, organics, carbon fibre and composites, advanced alloys and energy materials.

Key processes

Advanced modular processing

Drying, separation, modification and synthesis.

Applied analytics

Sensors and in-line monitoring, artificial intelligence, automation, analysis and genomics.

Process optimisation

Energy efficiency, speed, yield, modification, technology development and stabilisation.

Commercial assessment

Economic and consumer analysis and supply chain development.

Outputs

New circular materials and technologies and new pathways for recovered resources. This could include new circular and sustainable textiles, technology and processes, value from waste, value from food and agricultural waste and biomass, novel renewable precursors, optimised recycled carbon fibre, recycled and new alloys, novel sustainable materials, recovery of essential elements and repurposing.
