Content
This unit provides students with the ability to articulate sport as a social institution and to consider the ethical and social responsibilities that sport organisations have to various stakeholders within and beyond sport. Key elements of organisational institutionalism, and the role of various structures and agencies in regulation and compliance in maintaining various institutional activities will be considered. This unit will assess the ability of students to apply critical theory to contemporary issues faced in sport organisations and the ethical decision-making processes utilised in considering alternatives.
