Facilities

The School of Information Technology is located at both our Melbourne Burwood and Geelong Waurn Ponds campuses. Contemporary facilities help inspire our future IT professionals, with students having access to the most recent and specialised equipment and software.

State-of-the-art spaces and technology

Deakin IT students learn using the latest technology in fully equipped computer labs and facilities. Alongside hardware and equipment, students use both professional and specialised computer software including development platforms, programming IDEs and engines, and other content development systems.

Located at our Melbourne Burwood Campus, the Robotics and Internet of Things (RIoT) lab has computing, robotics and cyber-physical systems. Our DISCovery Lab provides a fully immersive learning experience where theory and technical skills come to life in practice. Helping support the final-year capstone unit, industry comes on campus and you get to work on real-world projects.
