Vice-Chancellor's Academic Excellence Scholarship
Awarded by Deakin’s Vice-Chancellor, this esteemed scholarship takes outstanding Deakin students to the next level. It is offered to domestic undergraduate students with exceptional academic achievements and proven experience and leadership.
Included with this scholarship is the Vice-Chancellor’s Professional Excellence Program which is an outstanding personal development program designed to fit around your studies and support you in turning your accomplishments into a real-world advantage.
For 2023, this scholarship has been fully allocated in Trimester 1 and will not be available in Trimester 2.

Deakin Scholarship for Excellence
Available to high-achieving domestic undergraduate and postgraduate students, this scholarship is designed for students who demonstrate exceptional promise both within and beyond academic achievements.
If you have a strong academic record teamed with excellence in extracurricular activities, community service or leadership, this scholarship offers the following financial support.
Deakin Student Support Scholarships
This scholarship offers financial support of up to $10,000 per year to students who display passion, perseverance and commitment to study whilst experiencing financial and personal hardship.

When applying direct to Deakin for these scholarships, select either the 'Undergraduate Scholarship Application Tri/Sem 2 2023' or the 'Postgraduate Scholarship Application Tri/Sem 2 2023' option and, if eligible, your application will automatically be considered for the Deakin Scholarship for Excellence and the Deakin Student Support Scholarship in the selection process.
This reduces the number of scholarships you have to apply for and increases your chance of receiving a Deakin scholarship.

How to apply
Apply directly to Deakin
You can apply for this scholarship directly to Deakin through our Scholarship Application Portal.
When applying direct to Deakin for these scholarships, select either the 'Undergraduate Scholarship Application Tri/Sem 2 2023' or the 'Postgraduate Scholarship Application Tri/Sem 2 2023' option and, if eligible, your application will automatically be considered for these scholarships.
The scholarship application process is highly competitive with a limited number of scholarships available. Unfortunately, not all eligible applicants will receive one.
What happens next?
Your application will be assessed and ranked based on the details you provide and your supporting documentation.
If you are successful, you will be contacted by the email address you nominated within your application portal account, unsuccessful applicants will not be contacted.
You'll find out if you were successful usually within four weeks of the application closing date. If you have not received an offer by this time, you have been unsuccessful. You can view the status of your application via your scholarship application portal account.

Following the application period above, this program will be available for offer in:
- Trimester 3 (mid-October to mid-November).
