Our partners

We provide expert advice, conduct collaborative research projects and road-test our curricula. Deakin students can also look forward to high-profile work placements thanks to some of our partners.

Geelong Football Club

Every year, sports students from Deakin complete their work placement with this successful AFL team. We also collaborate on research projects, and in 2013 opened the Deakin Cats Community Centre.

The Deakin Cats Community Centre

At the southern end of Simonds Stadium you'll find a state-of-the-art, 800-square-metre community hub. The facility is free to use by any community group that encourages healthy and active lifestyles.

Deakin Melbourne Boomers

In September 2015, Deakin University became a naming rights partner of the Melbourne Boomers, a national women's basketball team.

The partnership is an exciting opportunity for our students, who can undertake work placements with the team and for the local community.

The school is working closely with the club in areas of coaching, sports science, high performance management and athlete development, and to promote and profile women in sport.
