Study opportunities

As a nursing and midwifery student, you'll benefit from extensive clinical placement opportunities in addition to learning in our advanced on-campus simulation centres. You'll also have the opportunity to see healthcare from a different angle by taking part in overseas study experiences.

Gain extensive clinical experience

With a heavy emphasis on practical learning, our courses are designed to equip you with the advanced skills you need to thrive as a nurse or midwife. Extensive clinical placement hours are embedded within many of our undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, allowing you to work in real healthcare settings from your very first trimester of undergraduate study.

When not on placement, you'll learn in our advanced clinical simulation centres at our Burwood, Geelong Waterfront, and Warrnambool campuses. Simulating real hospital and community environments, the centres boast all of the state-of-the-art equipment you'll encounter in your clinical placements in healthcare settings.

We are committed to ensuring students graduate with high-quality patient care skills and we are the #1 university in Victoria for nursing and midwifery student experience, teaching quality, learning resources, student support, skills development.*
