Study opportunities

As a nursing and midwifery student, you'll learn in advanced simulation centres and will gain substantial practical experience while you study. We also offer opportunities to experience the world during your degree to gain an international perspective on nursing and midwifery.

Gain extensive clinical placement experience

As a nursing and midwifery student at Deakin, you'll gain experience in real clinical settings as part of many of our undergraduate and postgraduate degrees. As an undergraduate student, you'll have early exposure to a healthcare setting, with placements starting from your very first trimester and continuing throughout every trimester of study. These placements allow you to develop your knowledge and skills by treating real patients at one of our partner hospitals or other healthcare facilities.
