What is walking meditation?
A slow, silent and mindful walk. We pay attention to our steps (or movement), breath and surroundings – returning to the present moment and gently easing future/past worries. A practical skill you can use anywhere on campus and beyond.

You are welcome to just show up as you are. If you would like receive the calendar invite and occasional updates, please join our Teams channel ‘The Interbeing Lab’  or email Dr Belinda Christie b.christie@deakin.edu.au.

We walk rain or shine, unless the forecast maximum temperature exceeds 32°C, in which case the session will be cancelled – please wear weather-appropriate clothing.

Accessibility & inclusion:
* Walking paths are mostly flat (concrete/compacted rock) around Building T and towards Kooyongkoot (Gardiners Creek), with some uneven surfaces.
* Accessibility aids, support people and service animals welcome.
* Culturally inclusive, gender-diverse and multi-faith (or no faith).
* Trauma-informed facilitation by an experienced meditation teacher.

If you have any accessibility requirements you’d like to discuss prior, please connect with us via our Teams channel ‘The Interbeing Lab’ or email Dr Belinda Christie b.christie@deakin.edu.au.
