Entries must meet the following criteria.

• The artwork must be an original piece created by you.
• The design must fit inside an A4 printable area on the tote bag via digital printing, and it can be single or multi-coloured.
• The submitted artwork must be in a high-resolution format ready to print, preferably at 300dpi.

By entering the competition, entrants confirm that they understand and agree to the following conditions:

• The submitted artwork is original work created by the entrant, the entrant is the sole copyright owner, and the artwork does not contain copyright material belonging to others.
• Entrants give Deakin Library non-exclusive permission to reproduce, publish and use the artwork in print and digital formats, including marketing collateral, merchandise, online communications, social media channels, fabric bags, notepads, lanyards, digital and print signage, and other promotional materials in 2027 and into the future.
• The artwork may be included in future Library Artwork displays and exhibitions.
• Entrants should review the Library Artwork Competition 2027, full terms and conditions before submitting their entry.

Entries to the competition will be judged by a panel of Deakin Library staff. The winner of the competition will be selected by the judges based on merit and how well it responds to the competition guidelines. The winner will be notified by email by Friday 13 November 2026.

The winning artist will receive an artist fee of A$1000. For this to be paid, the winner must provide a tax invoice. You will need an ABN to create an invoice, which can be obtained for free online.
