Study Abroad Database

The Study Abroad Database is for students wanting to study for one or two Trimesters Abroad.

Planning a Trimester Abroad?

  1. Ensure that you:
    1. Attend a compulsory Information Session
    2. Review the list of Host Universities
    3. Check you meet all Eligibility Criteria and follow the steps provided in order to get your outgoing student plan approved

Once you have completed the three steps above, you can book a meeting with a Faculty Student Advisor via the Exchange Application form. During your appointment you will discuss a Trimester Abroad, your degree requirements and subject choices for overseas study. Currently these appointments can be held over phone.

Applications for Trimester 1 2021 exchange are now closed. The next application cycle – for Trimester 2 2021 – will open in Trimester 2. Student Central will start taking appointments later in July. If you have questions about this application cycle in the interim please contact the Deakin Abroad team

Note: COVID-19 continues to cause uncertainty around the world, leading to the Australian Governments issuing a worldwide travel advisory of “Do not travel”. In response to this, Deakin University has made the decision to suspend all mid-year Deakin Abroad programs. We will continue to monitor the situation and we hope to provide an update on T3 programs by the end of June 2020.

  2. Apply for a Trimester Abroad
