Accelerator bursary
Students who commenced at GIFT City Campus in Trimester 2 2024 and Trimester 2 2025 a 20% Accelerator bursary on your course tuition fees.
This bursary reflects our continued belief in supporting talent and fostering a diverse, motivated, and high-achieving student community. We are confident that this will drive positive outcomes and maximise the value of your educational investment
Eligibility for Accelerator bursary
- All students who commenced their course in Trimester 2 2024 at the GIFT City Campus, have 4 credit points enrolled in Trimester 2 2025 and have been continuously enrolled in their course are eligible for the 20% bursary.
- Students who commence their course in Trimester 2 2025 at the GIFT City Campus must maintain a full-time study load of 4 credit points each study period throughout their course to remain eligible for the 20% bursary.
- You can only hold one bursary, grant or scholarship at a time. If you are a recipient of the 25% Merit scholarship or any other Deakin bursary, grant or scholarship, you are not eligible for the 20% Accelerator bursary.
Receiving the Accelerator bursary if you commenced in Trimester 2 2024
This 20% bursary will be applied retrospectively to the tuition fees for your course. This will be reflected in your Trimester 2 2025 invoice.
Merit scholarship
In Trimester 2 2025, we are expanding eligibility for the Merit scholarship to not only students commencing in 2025, but also to students who commenced in Trimester 2 2024. This is a 25% bursary for students who not only excel academically but also stand out for their leadership, innovation, and commitment to making a difference.
Criteria for the Merit Scholarship
Students eligible for this scholarship will be identified and contacted by Deakin to apply. There is an expectation that you maintain a full-time study load of 4 credit points each study period. The criteria for used for this scholarship is:
- Academic Excellence.
- 80% and above in both Standard 10 and Standard 12.
- 80% and above in Undergraduate Studies (3.2/4 or 8.5/10 in GPA/CGPA).
- Aptitude exam scores above 85 percentiles for Master of Business Analytics only.
- Leadership and extra curricular accomplishments.
- Active participation and achievements in sports, arts, community service, and/or leadership roles.
- Recognised certifications, awards and achievements in academics and extracurricular activities will be considered.
- An interview.

Supporting documents required for Merit scholarship application for students who commenced in Trimester 2 2024
Academic documentation is not required as this has been provided as part of your initial application to Deakin GIFT City. You should provide supporting documents and evidence to demonstrate your leadership and extra-curricular accomplishments, including:
- a Statement of Purpose outlining your request to be considered for the Merit scholarship
- certificates/acknowledgements of extracurricular achievements.
Receiving the 25% Merit scholarship
Successful students will be contacted by Deakin and the 25% scholarship will be applied to your Trimester 2 2025 fees. If you commenced in Trimester 2 2024, it will be calculated retrospectively.
