If you’re not ready to start your journey with Deakin, you have a few different options.
If you have questions about your offer, or if you’re unsure if you will accept, we are here to help you make the right decision. We encourage you to phone us on 03 924 43999 or book an appointment with one of our future student advisers who can talk you through your options.
If you want to take a break before you start studying, you can defer your offer, which means you keep your place at university for up to one year.
Otherwise, if you've decided to decline your offer, please notify us as soon as possible using the following methods:
- If you applied to Deakin through the Application Portal and want to decline your offer, please go back to the portal and respond to your offer by declining.
- If you applied through VTAC, or don't have access to the Application Portal, you can complete the form below.
Please note: if you’ve received another offer from Deakin or another institution that you intend to accept, you should decline your offer.
