Academic Writing Month (AcWriMo)
Welcome to 2025’s Academic Writing Month (AcWriMo)!
AcWriMo is a themed month that brings together researchers from across the university to focus on topics relevant to academic writing and to get writing done. The Researcher Development Academy (RDA) in collaboration with other researcher support teams, creates a diverse range of workshops for researchers around topics related to writing and publishing. This year, our sessions include navigating a thesis by publication, how to be a reviewer, blogging your research, claiming significance in your writing, what you need to know about authorship, multiple Shut Up and Write sessions, and more!
One of AcWriMo’s highlights is a 3-day writing retreat that is being held at;
- Deakin Downtown (Melbourne CBD)
Wednesday 19 - Friday 21 November.
The retreat is currently booked out but you can still join the waiting list.
