Free health and wellbeing checks

To help you feel your best, we periodically offer our international students free and confidential on-campus health checks.

Health checks are available to all international students, regardless of which OSHC provider you’re with and whether you’re a new or a continuing student. And they are free!

What happens during a health check

You’ll visit one of our Deakin Medical Centres for your health check, which takes just 45 minutes and gives you a quick snapshot of your overall health.

Your consultation will be with a friendly and qualified nurse. You’ll have a glucose and blood pressure check and discuss your health and wellbeing. You’ll also receive a record of your personal results including health information and advice specific to your gender and age group.

It doesn’t matter if you’ve had a health check before – we encourage you to book in for one each year. That way, you’ll see how you’re progressing or be able to follow up on any issues, additionally you have a chance to win a prize!.
