Grants for current HDR students

Current health Graduate Research students can apply for funding opportunities within the School of Health and Social Development and the Faculty of Health.

A. School Graduate Research (GR) Funding – for direct research-related expenses, including data collection, fieldwork, and transcription services.HSD HDR Grant – Application Form (PDF, 929.0 KB)
B. The Faculty Graduate Research (GR) Conference Support Fund assists graduate researchers in presenting their research at conferences during their candidature. Funding is available for conference registration fees and travel-related expenses associated with conference attendance.

C. Faculty Publication Grant (FPG) – Supports publication expenses for papers that have been accepted for publication.

  1. Check Open Access Publications Read & Publish agreements and APC discounts. Read & Publish agreements are when libraries pay a flat fee to cover both subscription access to journal content and the open access publication costs for their authors. All Deakin researchers are eligible to use our Read & Publish agreements for publications resulting from your research at Deakin.
  2. Funding Support for Publications – Before applying for Faculty of Health publication funding to support publication in Q1 journals, graduate researchers should consult with their principal supervisor and consider equivalent high-quality journals available through the University's Read and Publish (R&P) agreements above.
