Master of Construction Management (Professional)
T2 2026 Mentor

Hi, I'm Arun, a Master of Construction Management (Professional) student, currently in my second trimester. When I arrived as a new international student, I was looking for a community.

Little did I know, I'd already been paired with a mentor, and during one of our catch-ups, I heard about the Community Hubs. I went to one and never stopped going. We built a 4,600-piece LEGO tower there, and somewhere between the bricks, I stopped feeling like a stranger on campus.

Getting to be the mentor now is genuinely rewarding, which is why the Hubs were my favourite part of the 2026 program.

Outside study, name a show and I've likely finished it. Most recently, House of the Dragon, which taught me plenty about project management: mostly what not to do.

My advice: talk to everyone. People are more willing to help than you expect. Get involved beyond your academics, because when you improve your surroundings, you grow with them. I've seen that firsthand.
