T1 2026 Mentor

Hi everyone, I’m Erika and I’m currently in my final year of study, completing a Bachelor of Construction Management (Honours), taking the accelerated program. This degree has inspired my interest in project management and the broader construction industry. In my spare time I love doing all things craft. Crochet and baking are some of my personal favourites, but when the weather is good you will find me down at the beach, sailing with my family.

I wanted to join the SEBE Peer Mentoring Program to inspire new Deakin students at the beginning of their university journey. In 2026, I look forward to continuing to meet new Mentees excited to start their Deakin journey at all of the O-Week events hosted by the SEBE Peer Mentors, as well as the weekly catch-up sessions.

If I could offer any advice to new Deakin students, it would be to immerse yourself in university life as much as possible. Uni life is so much more than just studying!!
