T1 2026 Mentor

Hey everyone! My name's Jeremy and I'm in my fourth (and final) year of studying a Bachelor of Science (Chemistry)/Commerce. I chose to be a part of peer mentoring as it really supported me as a Mentee to feel less alone so now, I hope to do the same for others!

I was really excited for a few things in the 2026 Peer Mentor Program, especially meeting new people! I was also excited about the SEBE Community Hubs and the Cheap Eats events!

At Deakin, I have a passion for food chemistry, and I'm currently doing my placement in a research lab looking at cooking/health oils. In commerce I also love a good Excel spreadsheet and solving issues for companies. Personally, I really love hiking, animals, road trips, tennis, cooking and a good book!

My advice is to always say yes to opportunities, most of them aren't as scary as you think! (Trust me on this).
