Publishing
All research degree candidates are encouraged to publish their work in refereed journals.
Publishing your work has a number of advantages:
- it impresses examiners
- you acquire valuable feedback from the referees
- it builds your confidence
- it gives you a track record which will be important for your employment prospects.
Publications can form the basis of the chapters in your thesis and it is normal in such cases to list all the publications which emerged from the research project in the front of the thesis.
