Business students elevate your leadership skills with an honour society Executive Committee position

Are you studying accounting, finance, business analytics or information systems? You need to know about Beta Alpha Psi (BAP), an internationally recognised honour society that focuses on professional development for high-achieving business students.

Joining Deakin’s BAP chapter offers experiences beyond the lecture theatre and valuable opportunities for personal and professional growth.

BAP mid-year recruitment is now open and we want you to be a part of Deakin’s BAP chapter and make your own contribution to a legacy of excellence and innovation. We’re not just a student organisation; we’re a powerhouse of opportunities, a catalyst for personal growth and a launchpad for international collaborations.

Founded in the US in 1919, Beta Alpha Psi currently boasts over 300 chapters and 300,000 members worldwide. Deakin is one of nine universities in Australia to host a chapter.

We’d love you to join BAP! To be eligible, you need to:

  • be a current Deakin Business School student, not in your final trimester, who is enrolled in an accounting, finance, business analytics or information systems course or major
  • have a WAM of 70 or over. (calculate your WAM).
  • have achieved 8 credit points (undergraduate students) or 4 credit points (postgraduate students)

BAP Executive Committee

BAP Executive Committee positions are available and we want you to apply!

Hands-on roles with BAP will help you build critical skills in team management, strategic planning and professional networking and prepare you for a real-world career. The Executive Committee play an important role in supporting Deakin’s BAP chapter. Due to students graduating there is a wide range of executive roles available. When you apply for membership, you can select the committee role/s you are interested in.

Earlier this year, three of our Executive Committee members travelled to Sydney to attend the Oceania conference. This could be you!

Applications close Sunday 4 July 2026. Students shortlisted for executive positions will be interviewed in July via Zoom.
