Honours in exercise sport science or nutrition sciences

An honours year will improve your skills in areas highly desired by employees – such as project and time management, written and oral communication and teamwork.

The School of Exercise and Nutrition Sciences has outstanding teaching and research facilities, strong industry partnerships with sporting, government, community, health and food organisations, and our students receive authentic ‘hands-on’ experiences. An honours degree from Deakin provides a stepping-stone to a career in research and/or industry.

We offer the following honours degrees within the School of Exercise and Nutrition Sciences:

We offer a number of project ideas located at our campuses. The booklet may be updated as projects change or additional projects become available. Always check with the principal supervisor.

How to apply

Your first step in securing a place in the honours program is to review the honours project booklet above. It outlines all the available projects as well as detailing the application process in full. You will then need to complete our two-part application process:

  1. Submit a course application through Deakin’s applicant portal, including all your supporting documents as outlined in the portal
  2. Review the project offerings in the booklet. Contact the named supervisors to discuss the projects you are interested in and complete the online project preference form.
