Student testimonials

My experience at Windermere as a Marketing and Events Intern has been incredibly rewarding and insightful. I have had the opportunity to work alongside a passionate and supportive marketing team, where I've been able to apply my marketing knowledge in a real business setting. This experience has not only helped me develop my marketing skills but has given me insight into how effective marketing communication can make a meaningful difference in the community. I strongly encourage other students to seek out internships in their field. It provides a chance to grow both personally and professionally and helps build confidence to pursue post-graduate opportunities.

I undertook the International Consultancy Experience as my WIL program in Shiga, Japan. Shiga was an incredible place – it was slower paced compared to major cities like Osaka and Tokyo which I found refreshing. A typical day involved site and client meetings, group work sessions and engaging language and cultural workshops, which I found fantastic. Our consulting project was with a nearly 200-year-old sake brewery, where we worked on strategies to expand into the Australian market. It was both challenging and rewarding. I can’t recommend WIL programs enough. This program pushes you out of your comfort zone and offers a completely different kind of challenge than you’ll ever find in a classroom.
